How to Use Your Sewing Machine

There are tutorials on the Internet for almost any sewing technique you want to try. If you have trouble finding what you're looking for, this article might help you: Six Google search tips to find anything faster.  Youtube has tons of video tutorials. PBS has several seasons of Sewing with Nancy available for free. You can purchase books on how to sew, or check them out from the library. And, of course, you can consult the manual for your sewing machine. Keep reading if you don't have a manual.

How to find a manual for your sewing machine: You can find most sewing machine manuals by going to Google or another search engine, and typing "manual for" along with your sewing machine's brand and model. If you're here, it's possible that you already tried that, but couldn't find your sewing machine's brand and model. Most machines have the brand and model written on the front. If your machine doesn't have that, you can check the back or bottom of the machine for a plate or a sticker with a serial number. Type the number instead of, or along with, the brand of the machine, and that may help you find a manual.
