I love teaching. Most of the sewing that I do is machine sewing, but I can teach hand sewing. I've been sewing since 2010, and I've taken college classes on pattern drafting, sewing stretch wear and tailoring suits.
I give beginner and intermediate level lessons. You can learn how to hem your own pants and reattach a button, make your own clothes, sew useful bags and accessories, create a cosplay outfit, or even create your own patterns.
If you already know how to use a sewing machine and make simple clothes, I can teach you some more advanced techniques.
Individual lessons are $15 per hour, and each lesson lasts 2-3 hours, depending on what we decide. You'll learn fastest if you take a lesson every week, but I'm happy to assign more homework, and teach lessons once every two or three weeks, allowing my student to save money and learn more on their own.
Want to learn to sew, but can't afford lessons? I understand, and I'm willing to be paid in goods or services, as well as cash.
I've never taught virtual sewing lessons, but I would like to try. I have a webcam, a headset, and multiple web based communication programs like Skype and Discord.
I'll give a free lesson to the first person who volunteers to try out virtual sewing lessons with me.
